ABOUT MANICOUAGAN MINERALS

Manicouagan Minerals Inc. (TSX-V:MAM) is a Canadian based exploration company focused on advancing its gold projects in the Pickle Lake Gold Belt, Ontario. Manicouagan also has a pipeline of commodity projects including the Brabant Lake Zinc deposit in Saskatchewan, together with the Mouchalagane Nickel/Copper/PGE project and the HPM/Forgues Nickel/Copper/Cobalt project, both in Quebec.

At Pickle Lake, We are Exploring in a Proven, but Underexplored Gold Mining Camp that Continues to Offer the Potential for New Discoveries

In April 2009, Manicouagan acquired the right to earn up to 70% interest in three claim groups known as the Dorothy-Dobie Lake, Kasagiminnis and Pickle Lake East properties. Since then, Manicouagan has developed a strategic land position in the Pickle Lake area of over 132 square kilometres in this proven, but underexplored gold mining camp. All of these properties lie within the prolific Uchi Geological Sub-province, which hosts the gold mining camps of Pickle Lake, Red Lake and Rice Lake. Historic gold production from these mines exceeded 25 million ounces.

New discoveries continue to be made in the Uchi Geological Sub-province. They include:
  • Red Lake - Goldcorp, Gold Eagle, and Rubicon
  • Rice Lake - San Gold
These recent discoveries continue to demonstrate the significant untapped potential of the Uchi and have created considerable shareholder value and renewed exploration interest.

The Pickle Lake gold camp includes four, high-grade past producing mines:
  • Pickle Crow - 1,450,000 oz at 16.1 gpt gold
  • Central Patricia - 650,000 oz at 12.0 gpt gold
  • Golden Patricia - 500,000 oz at 20.0 gpt gold
  • Dona Lake - 210,000 oz at 8.6 gpt gold
Four of Manicouagan's properties are adjacent to past producing gold mines and cover the favourable gold bearing trends that hosted those mines, including the Pickle Lake East property that is adjacent to the Pickle Crow Mine. Three of the properties contain near surface historical resources totaling 500,000 ounces of gold (not 43-101 compliant). Little exploration has been carried out since the early 1990's -- particularly at depth.

Manicouagan recently completed a $1M financing. Upcoming work will include drill-testing targets recently identified on the Pickle Lake East property. This property covers the interpreted strike extension of the gold bearing structure that hosts the Pickle Crow Mine, currently being explored by PC Gold Inc.

Manicouagan continues to seek out new opportunities with a strong emphasis on exploration along proven gold trends.
