ABOUT MANICOUAGAN MINERALS
Manicouagan Minerals Inc. is a Canadian public company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange Trading under the symbol MAM. We are focusing on the exploration and advancement of our gold projects in the Pickle Lake Gold Belt, Ontario.
WHY IS MANICOUAGAN EXPLORING FOR GOLD IN THE PICKLE LAKE GREENSTONE BELT?
We are exploring in a proven, but underexplored gold mining camp that continues to offer the potential for new discoveries
- Pickle Lake Greenstone Belt is part of the Uchi Geological Sub-province which hosts the gold mining camps of Pickle Lake, Red Lake and Rice Lake - gold production to date exceeds 25 million ounces
- New discoveries continue to be made in the Uchi Geological Sub-province:
- Red Lake -- Goldcorp, Gold Eagle, and Rubicon
- Rice Lake -- San Gold
- Key to these recent discoveries is recognition of the importance of structural control in the right geological setting
- The Pickle Lake gold camp includes four, high-grade past producing mines:
- Pickle Crow - 1,450,000 oz at 16.1 gpt gold
- Central Patricia - 650,000 oz at 12.0 gpt gold
- Golden Patricia - 500,000 oz at 20.0 gpt gold
- Dona Lake - 210,000 oz at 8.6 gpt gold
- Since acquiring an option to earn up to a 70% interest in three claim groups known as the Dorothy-Dobie Lake, Kasagiminnis and Pickle Lake East properties Manicouagan has staked an additional 32 square kilometres in the Pickle Lake Greenstone Belt bringing its total land position to 112 square kilometres
- Additional information and more detail on why Manicouagan is focusing on the Pickle Lake Greenstone Belt can be found in our Investor Presentation.
